At the end of every year, I enjoy looking at all of the compelling photos taken throughout the year, but since it is 2019, I decided to look back at the last ten years. 

Here is a Patcha Cutcha presentation highlighting the top 20 powerful photos that show war, terrorism, shootings, politics, and hope. 

Many adverse events impacted millions of people, but that is why most of these photos are sad, disturbing, violent, and emotional. Toward the end of the presentation, there are more positive photos that give hope for the future.
